Promoting the well-being of our residents

Every year, deserving residents in tight financial situations are forced to limit their stay in Paris and cut short their often promising studies. To help them cope with difficult situations, the Cité internationale has set up two scholarship programmes. In addition to these scholarship, the Cité internationale, which has a long tradition of welcoming refugee students, has created a specific programme for students and researchers in exile.

Supporting students and researchers who need help to develop and learn

The Cité internationale strives to provide support to residents who need it and is open to people experiencing particular difficulties. It has developed two scholarship programmes dedicated to students and financed thanks to the patronage of major companies and individual donors. They enable students to pursue their studies in Paris in the best possible conditions and to be supported by having their rent fully or partially covered for 10 months. Merit and commitment scholarships are awarded to residents with limited financial resources who have a particularly remarkable academic record. “Room for success” grants are also awarded on the basis of social criteria. They are accessible to the most needy residents.

Our scholarship programmes

Merit and commitment scholarships

The merit and commitment scholarships offer the most deserving students, artists and high-level sportsmen and women with limited financial resources the opportunity to stay at the Cité internationale in the best possible conditions and thus to continue their studies in Île-de-France

"Room for success" scholarships

In response to the increasing precariousness, the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris and the Bolloré Group have launched a new scholarship programme called “Room for success” in 2022. These scholarships are accessible to the most deprived residents after a social assessment and provide a targeted response to the specific nature of the crisis.

Support us

The Cité internationale universitaire de Paris was born of the generosity of major donors in 1925. Even today, the Cité internationale lives on patronage thanks to the support of its donors and companies who are committed to making sense of the world and enabling its residents to study in optimal conditions. Encouraging access to knowledge and mobility for the world’s youth, promoting solidarity and humanist values and acting for a sustainable world are the major challenges that the Cité internationale has set itself.

Promoting solidarity and humanist values

The Cité internationale engages in projects with collaborative values and connects residents from different backgrounds. It encourages cultural, intellectual and entrepreneurial initiatives that aim to give meaning to the world. Faithful to the values of its founders, it makes them radiate to the greatest number, on the one hand, by accompanying residents who need help to blossom and succeed and, on the other hand, by welcoming and developing open innovation and experimentation to build the world of tomorrow.
