This series of frescoes was created by Kraesten Iversen and painted by his pupil Johan Wilhelm Andersen. Each fresco illustrates a season. Spring is represented by a ploughing scene on a plain enclosed by a wooded hillside, summer by a green meadow, autumn by a coastal landscape and winter by a lake surrounded by snow-covered fields.
