The recruitment of Greek Francophile circles, and notably the ambassador Nicolas Politis, was decisive for raising the necessary funds to construct this building. Designed by the architect Nikolaos Zahos, the building pays homage to classical Greek architecture.
The furniture in the large lounge was inspired by Villa Kérylos in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, which is a reconstruction of the buildings on the island of Delos, one of the most important cities in ancient Greece.
Thanks to its 43 houses, the Cité internationale offers a rich cultural and artistic program to all audiences : concerts, screenings, conferences, exhibitions, shows…
Discover them in our cultural agenda CitéScope.
Every house runs thanks to a professional and dedicated team. Whether they are in charge of hospitality, planning, cooking, cleaning, maintenance or security, they are all committed to making sure that your stay in the building goes smoothly.
The campus is yours so take part in organising its social and cultural life! Residents are elected within your house every year. They take care of the organisation and representation of residents with the house’s administration. We also encourage resident engagement in collective projects and in the organisation of cultural and artistic events.
