The project for an Egyptian Pavilion at the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris is not new. The first links forged between the Cité internationale and Egypt date back to the 1930s. In 1951, a project for a house in the form of a pyramid was even conceived, but it wasn’t until 2017 that the project was formalized in a commitment agreement. Construction of the house will begin in 2021.
One of the oldest and richest civilizations in the history of mankind finds its place in this privileged site, which sees itself as the crossroads of the world's cultures. It offers ideal conditions for all Egyptian and international students who are lucky enough to attend.
Thanks to its 43 houses, the Cité internationale offers a rich program of cultural and artistic events and debates on the major issues facing the contemporary world: concerts, screenings, lectures, exhibitions, shows… Find out more in our Citéscope cultural calendar.
Each home is run by a dedicated, professional team. Whether they’re in charge of reception, planning, maintenance, upkeep or security, they’re all committed to ensuring that your stay in your home runs smoothly.
This is your campus, so take part in organizing its social and cultural life! Every year, residents are elected to the Board of Directors. Their role is to animate and represent residents in the administration of the home. We also encourage our residents to get involved in collective projects and in the organization of cultural and artistic events.
