The Cité internationale offers a variety of dining options. To eat lunch inside or on the grass, have a break, a full meal or eat on-the-go, our restaurants and cafeterias are open to everyone. The Cité internationale regularly establishes partnerships to offer new things: organic bakeries, food trucks, frozen yoghurt…

A HYBRID SPACE FOR RELAXING OR BRAINSTORMING

The 200 m² multi-purpose room at the Maison de l’Égypte is now home to l’Égyptien, a coworking space, café and snack bar open to all. Equipped with wifi, the 80 seats provide an ideal setting for working, chatting or enjoying hot drinks (karak) and home-made Egyptian specialities (savoury and sweet), à la carte.

A small bonus is the ten or so seats on the outdoor terrace around the house’s characteristic red beech tree.

Weekdays from 9.30 am to 8.30 pm / Weekends from 10.30 am to 9.30 pm.

A MEETING AT 9000 KM

Discover classic Korean cooking and a selection of dishes inspired by local street food in the 50-seat restaurant of the Maison de la Corée. And if you want to try the experience at home, visit the adjoining store to buy some of the country’s iconic products. Cité internationale students receive a discount.

Lunch Monday to Friday (12 pm-2:30 pm), Saturday (12 pm-3 pm), Sunday (take away only) (12 pm-3 pm).

Dinner Tuesday to Saturday (7 pm-10 pm), Monday (take away only) (7 pm-9:30 pm), Sunday (take away only) (6:30 pm-9 pm).

A PLACE WITH TUNISIAN CHARM

The Pavillon Bourguiba in the Maison de Tunisie houses Café Zaim which is open all day long from breakfast. At midday there is a menu with Tunisian street-food styled offerings that stop to make way for the tea room in the afternoon. A grocer’s completes the new space which was inaugurated in November 2021.

Monday to Sunday (7 am-10 pm).

THE UNIVERSITY CAFE-RESTAURANT

Open to the general public, the café-restaurant offers balanced meals which are prepared with fresh products. On Saturdays there are vegetarian menus and brunch. The prices are affordable: a complete meal is €3.30 for non-scholarship holders and €1 for scholarship holders and students in precarious situations. Next to the restaurant is a cafeteria open 7 days a week, offering breakfast, hot drinks, fast food and organic products to consume on site or to take away. This space is also available throughout the day to meet up or work.

Restaurant open Monday to Friday, 11.30am to 2pm and 6.30pm to 9pm.

Brunch on Saturdays, 10am to 3pm.

Cafeteria open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.15pm and weekends, 9am to 6.15pm.

A BUDGET FRIENDLY BREAK

For the early risers, you can meet at the Collège d’Espagne for breakfast (€3.50). And when the lunch bell rings there is a mini self-service of small plates, desserts and drinks as well as specialities or lighter meals awaiting you. A complete meal is available from €8.90. And once a month there is an international special.

Breakfast from Monday to Friday 7:15 am-10:30 am) – Saturday, Sunday and public holidays (8:30 am-10:30 am).

Lunch from Monday to Saturday (12 pm-14:30 pm).

During the summer
Closing from Saturday 20 July to Sunday 8 September inclusive.

A CAFETERIA AND ITS TERRACE

If you’re looking for a terrace to have breakfast, lunch or something sweet then head to the Maison Heinrich Heine-Fondation de l’Allemagne. On the cafeteria menu are: quiches, salads, dishes of the day (meat or fish), German sausages and homemade cakes. It is open to everyone. Rest assured you’ll find a place with 53 seats available. From €6.50 for a meal and €9.50 for the set menu.

Open Monday to Friday (8:30 am-4 pm) – Saturday (10 am-4 pm). Lunch service (12 pm-2:30 pm).

During the summer
Closing Wednesday 14 August to Sunday 8 September inclusive.

A HEALTHY AND VEGETARIAN MENU

Nestling in the Maison internationale, a stone’s throw from the Theatre, this café serves vegetarian cuisine and organic or sustainable produce. Their suppliers? The best French producers. The restaurant has also been awarded the Ecotable label, which testifies to their commitment to an approach that respects the environment and our health. And every Saturday, organic brunch!

THE PARK: AN OUTDOOR ALTERNATIVE

If you prefer to have lunch outside in the Cité Internationale park then the large 10,000 m² lawn is the perfect place for picnics. Remember to keep the place tidy by taking your rubbish with you and using the rubbish-sorting bins available on site. For groups of more than 20 people permission is required.

 

THE DINING HALL: A RESTAURANT FOR YOUR EVENTS

The space has a view of the large lawn and its adjoining kitchen is a real restaurant that can host private professional events. Both sit-down meals and cocktail parties can be organised.
