Interview with the Director of the Maison de Tunisie
Mr. Dhia Khaled holds a postgraduate degree (DEA) in legal sciences.
A career diplomat, he has been serving since January 2024 as Tunisia’s Ambassador to Paris, Permanent Delegate of Tunisia to UNESCO, and Permanent Representative of Tunisia to the International Organization of La Francophonie.
He previously held the positions of Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad (2021–2023); Ambassador of Tunisia to China and non-resident Ambassador to Vietnam and Cambodia (2016–2021); Chief of Staff to the Minister of Foreign Affairs (2015–2016); Economic Advisor and then Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Tunisia in Madrid (2009–2014); and Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Tunisia in New Delhi (2001–2005).
Dhia Khaled has been an Officer of the Order of Diplomatic Merit since September 2020. He has held the rank of Minister Plenipotentiary (exceptional class) since April 2023. He is currently Tunisia’s Ambassador to France, accredited Ambassador to Monaco and Andorra with residence in Paris, and President of the Maison de Tunisie Foundation.
