Two architects, Pierre Martin and Maurice Vieu, designed the building and were inspired by the Indochinese architectural tradition, as shown by the wide overhangs of the roofs and the “dove’s beak” roof angles. The staircase banister was designed on a motif from the Imperial Palace in Hué. The house has a central garden. The main salon of the house is one of the architectural treasures of the Cité internationale.
