The Maison de l’Île-de-France was completed financed by the Île-de-France region. Its construction was included in the “Cité 2025” development plan. It was designed using the most innovative sustainable development techniques, it conforms to plot constraints and is optimised to respect the Zero Energy Net standards (ZEN).
An artistic sound work makes the residents aware of good behaviour when it comes to matters of saving energy and participates in the building’s ecological identity. It’s the “Piézoplex”, a honeycomb structure that’s installed on the ceiling of the entrance hall that plays a multitude of short sounds indicating the building’s energy status.
The Maison de l’Île-de-France offers a rich scientific and academic programme, focusing on environmental issues thanks in particular to its partnership with Ecopolien and Paris Saclay, as well as a cultural programme open to all disciplines and artistic forms. Impromptissimo for improvised music, Voyages à travers les lignes to meet a work of art and its author, Tous en scène with screenings of short films and Débats des sciences, in partnership with the IRD, for a better understanding of major societal issues, are just some of the events on offer at the Maison de l’Île-de-France.. Podcasts are also available!
Thanks to its 43 houses, the Cité internationale offers a rich cultural and artistic program to all audiences : concerts, screenings, conferences, exhibitions, shows…
Discover them in our cultural agenda CitéScope.
Every house runs thanks to a professional and dedicated team. Whether they are a receptionist, planning manager, cleaner, maintenance or security personnel, everyone is committed to ensuring that your stay is as smooth as possible.
The campus is yours so take part in organising its social and cultural life! Every year residents are elected within their house. They take care of the life there and represent students concerning the house’s administration. We also encourage our residents to engage in collective projects and in the organisation of cultural and artistic events.
The Cité internationale is a unique campus in the world. Located in a 34-hectare eco-managed park there are numerous on-site services to make your daily life easier as well as the possibility of proposing and showcasing projects that are close to your heart.
The Cité internationale is a campus unlike any other and by joining the campus you will share in its values: tolerance, respect, solidarity. Our residents can testify to this.
