Biography d’Arthur Aharonyan, pianist and composer
Born in Yerevan, Arthur Aharonyan received his training as a pianist and composer at the Armenian Conservatory (CNSM), and is a member of the Union of Composers. He has simultaneously pursued a career as a pianist, performing on major stages across Europe, Canada, and the United States. As a composer, his influence extends beyond borders, and his career has been recognized with several international awards, including the Golden Star Halo Award from the Southern California Motion Picture Council in Hollywood.
He has recorded numerous albums as both pianist and composer. Among his works are La Ballade de Jonathan, a symphonic poem premiered in 2004 by the ONDIF at Théâtre Mogador. In 2006, the piece was performed by the Orchestra of the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris under the direction of Adrian McDonnell. His Violin Concerto No. 2 was premiered in 2011 by the Amsterdam Sinfonietta at the Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam, with Sergey Khachatryan as soloist.
ԱՐԹՈՒՐ ԱԱՀԱՐՈՆԵԱՆԻ ԿԵՆՍԱԳՐՈՒԹԻՒՆ, ԴԷՂԻՆԱԳՈՐԾ ԵՒ ԵՐԱԺՇՏԱԳԵՏ
Ծնվել է Երևանում։ Սովորել է Հայաստանի պետական կոնսերվատորիայում դաշնամուրի և կոմպոզիցիայի բաժիններոմ ։Լինելով կոմպոզիտորների միության անդամ, զուգահեռաբար ծավալում է կատարողական գործունեություն՝ ելույթներ ունենալով Եվրոպայի, Կանադայի և Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների հեղինակավոր բեմերում։
Որպես կոմպոզիտոր՝ նրա գործունեությունն ունի միջազգային ճանաչում։ Նրա կարիերան արժանացել է մի շարք միջազգային մրցանակների, այդ թվում՝ «Golden Star Halo Award», որը նրան շնորհել է Southern California Motion Picture Council-ը Հոլիվուդում։ Նա ձայնագրել է բազմաթիվ սկավառակներ՝ որպես դաշնակահար և որպես կոմպոզիտոր։ Նրա ստեղծագործություններից կարելի է նշել Ջոնաթանի բալլադը՝ սիմֆոնիկ պոեմ, որի պրեմիերան կայացել է 2004 թվականին Փարիզի Մոգադորի թատրոնում՝ ՕՆԴԻՖ նվագախմբի կատարմամբ։ 2006 թվականին այդ ստեղծագործությունը կատարվել է նաև Փարիզի Միջազգային համալսարանական քաղաքի նվագախմբի կողմից՝ Ադրիան Մակդոնելի ղեկավարությամբ։
Ջութակի կոնցերտ №2-ը ստեղծվել է 2011 թվականին և ներկայացվել է Amsterdam Sinfonietta նվագախմբի կողմից Ամստերդամի Muziekgebouw համերգասրահում՝ մենակատար Սերգեյ Խաչատրյանի մասնակցությամբ։

A poem-chair
“I adopted the chair, this familiar object, a few decades ago, at a time when I wanted to create art on a human scale in public spaces, while everywhere else people opted for the monumental: it is an object shaped like the body and serves the body. It is difficult to feel exclusive ownership of an object so universally shareable. The project Prendre position
Prendre position is a sculpture-installation project of 47 chair-poems to mark the 100th anniversary of the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris. They were installed in a flowered meadow created especially for the occasion by the campus estate service.
This artistic installation was conceived by the Quebecois artist-sculptor Michel Goulet, in collaboration with François Massut, founding director of the collective Poésie is not dead.
Each house on the campus is represented by a chair, thanks to a donation from the Maison des étudiants canadiens and the support of the Labrenne group. Each of the 47 chairs is a unique work.
History and architecture of the house
La Maison des étudiants arméniens-Fondation Marie Nubar est l’œuvre de l’architecte Léon Nafilyan, installé à Paris dans les années 1920. Il a conçu le projet dans un style qui perpétue la tradition architecturale arménienne.
