A COLLECTION FOR EQUIPMENT FOR CARE, BASIC NEEDS AND FOOD

In order to support and aid the Ukrainian people, the Cité internationale is organising a collection of basic care products. This collection, organised for the Aide Civils Ukrainiens association will provide urgent aid to Ukranians on site who have been affected by the conflict. You can make your donations every day between 6pm and 8pm at the Maison internationale, located at 17 boulevard Jourdan in the 14th arrondissement in Paris. The collection is open to everyone.

IMMEDIATE FIRST STEPS

On the 24th of February 2022, the Cité internationale took the first steps to help the students affected by the war in Ukraine, in particular the 20 Ukrainian students and researchers living on campus. Being sensitive to their situation, it has set up a counselling unit to help provide them with psychological aid. There is also the necessary logistical support for their administrative processes and personal initiatives. An exception of free and discounted rent for the month of march was put in place for students financially impacted by the war in Ukraine. Thanks to CROUS, the €1 meal was quickly set up. All of the campus residents, notably the Russian or Belarussian students and researchers currently on campus are being paid special attention to. They all have access to psychological aid within the medical unit at the Cité internationale.

RESPONDING TO URGENT NEEDS

Your donations will allow us to help Ukrainian students and researchers who cannot return home for an indefinite period of time as well as residents affected by the conflict in regard to daily expenses: rent, psychological aid, financial aid due to loss of income or family support etc.

How will my donation be used?

Your donations will be allocated to Ukrainian students and researchers in need and those more generally affected by this crisis on campus. Cut off from their families by the violent conflict in their country, worried about their loved ones, they are confronted with material and financial difficulties (rent payments, food, transport). For individual donors: when filing your taxes, declare your donation in the box 7UF (“Reductions and tax credit” under the “Charges” section). This is step 3 in the online process. You can deduct up to 66% of your donation from income tax (within the 20% limit on taxable income) and up to 75% from property wealth tax (within the €50,000 limit).
