Interview with the Director of the Collège franco-britannique
I’m an academic, a linguistics specialist. I completed my doctorate in Slavic linguistics in the US but since then I have taught English linguistics and worked on comparative linguistics and linguistic variation. Different languages and cultures have always interested me.
The founders’ dual mission was to offer students decent accommodation and promote peace between nations, all within a magnificent environment that is the Cité internationale park, with its majestic trees and vastly different architectural buildings that give you the impression that you’re travelling the world as you walk through it! The Cité internationale is a true microcosm of cultural and linguistic diversity.
Living at the Cité internationale is an enormous opportunity: in the house there are numerous different nationalities that allow you to get to know the world without even leaving Paris. But also there is also an entire infrastructure in place at the Cité internationale to help residents during and after their stay. We do our best to make your stay enjoyable and enriching and to ensure that you can advance your studies and research under good conditions.
Magical.
