One single name for assistance and support for international mobility in the Ile-de-France.
In 2013 the network in the Ile-de-France region with responsibility for assisting and supporting students’ and researchers’ international mobility became acc&ss Paris Ile-de-France. In this way the network of the four acc&ss centres in the Ile-de-France region aims to introduce more clarity in what it offers to those living and studying in the Ile-de-France region. This change is a proof of the network’s desire to continue to develop their skills in welcoming and assisting those who are making moves across the world and to pursue their efforts to share tools and good practice.
Since it was created in 2005, the acc&ss Paris Ile-de-France network, piloted by the International University Campus in Paris and supported by the Région Île-de-France and the City of Paris in particular, has become an indispensable factor in assisting and supporting international mobility. Today it comprises four centres and three offices located in the main research and higher education centres in the Ile-de-France region. Being nearer to our clientele enables us to improve networking with our local partners and thus to be able to respond more appropriately to the needs identified.
Each year more than 10,000 students and researchers from 140 nationalities are hosted by the different acc&ss centres. The network assists its clientele in as many ways as possible to make their stay in the Ile-de-France problem-free by providing information on the administrative formalities (visas, resident permits, health insurance, opening a bank account etc.), information on day-to-day life (transport, cultural and leisure activities, etc.), and assistance in finding accommodation or employment.
