The Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris is unique among French universities and institutions. It is run by a private body, the Fondation Nationale, and is listed as a public-interest organisation. It manages on-site services and 18 residences. The other 22 houses each represent a country or Grande Ecole and have their own legal status.

PATRONAGE AT THE CITÉ INTERNATIONALE
The Cité Internationale has always drawn on the generous support of key private donors such as Emile Deutsch de la Meurthe and John Rockefeller Jr.
The Cité Internationale has now reached a turning point and is on the verge of launching a wide-ranging development campaign to renovate and enhance its architectural heritage, pursue intellectual and cultural projects and offer new scholarships. Why not support to this new drive?

You can make an immediate contribution to the work of the Cité Internationale by supporting the patronage campaign to promote its development.
The Cité Internationale has now reached a turning point and is on the verge of launching a wide-ranging development drive to renovate and enhance its natural and architectural heritage, build new residences and pursue a range of intellectual and cultural projects.
To this end, the Cité Internationale aims to revive its patronage campaign, which forms a cornerstone of its history. The drive involves companies and foundations as well as private individuals.

Companies and foundations can help support the programmes and humanist values of the Cité Internationale, which provides an environment offering a unique blend of culture and talent.
Companies can support the Cité Internationale in two ways:
- By supporting the overall work of the Cité Internationale
- By supporting a specific project.
In either case, the Cité Internationale seeks to establish successful partnerships with its patrons, which are designed to meet individual goals and specific requirements.
The Cité Internationale offers a wide range of benefits to companies that support its development programme:
- Some may appeal to corporate partners and clients, such as invitations to cultural events at the Cité Internationale (only available in french), private tours of the campus and its houses and reduced rates for renting venues at Maison Internationale;
- Others are designed for the company’s employees, such as reduced-price tickets to cultural events at the Cité Internationale (only available in french);
- A number of benefits also promote corporate communications, including logos on Cité Internationale advertising media and press releases presenting the patronage campaign.

Private individuals, friends, former residents and neighbours can all help improve everyday facilities for Cité Internationale residents through the “1,000 euros : a room in your name” campaign.
The “1,000 euros: a room in your name” campaign invites private individuals to help renovate or refit a room in one of the 40 houses at the Cité Internationale. In exchange, those donating sums of €1,000 or more will be eligible to give their name (or a name of their choice) to a room in the relevant house, with a plaque mounted at the entrance.
The campaign currently covers renovation at three residences: the Dutch College, André de Gouveia Residence and South East Asia House.
If you are interested in contributing to renovation work, please download a donation form.
French residents taking part the “1,000 euros: a room in your name” campaign are eligible for tax deductions.
These allow you to deduct 66% from your total donation on your income tax returns (provided this does not exceed 20% of your taxable income). This means a donation of €1,000 will effectively cost only €340.
Those subject to wealth tax may deduct 75% of the total donation from their taxable income (up to a maximum of €50,000 per year). A donation of €1,000 will therefore cost only €250.
