A DIVERSE ORGANISATION

Home to 10,000 students, researchers and artists every year, over 140 nationalities, 40 houses and a host of services, the Cité Internationale offers a unique setting backed by a remarkable organisation.

The Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris is unique among French universities and institutions. It is run by a private body, the Fondation Nationale, and is listed as a public-interest organisation. It manages on-site services and 18 residences. The other 22 houses each represent a country or Grande Ecole and have their own legal status.

A HUB FOR ARTS AND CULTURE

Every year, the Cité Internationale hosts 1,000 events in arts and culture, organised by houses, residents and specialist services.

Culture is a cornerstone of life at the Cité Internationale. In addition to its theatre, the campus is also home to an orchestra, choir and heritage centre. It offers a range of services for those researching information either as a hobby or for the purposes of work or studies.

SEMINARS AND CONFERENCES

Covering everything from seminars and forums to award ceremonies, board meetings and receptions, the Seminars and Conferences service is on hand to provide help and advice to organise your events in beautiful surroundings.

The Cité Internationale offers an outstanding setting, providing event organisers with a complete raft of services including venue rental, catering, technical installations and staffing.

PATRONAGE AT THE CITÉ INTERNATIONALE

RESTAURANTS AND CAFETERIAS

UNIVERSITY RESTAURANT

The canteen of the Cité internationale will be closed from July 25 to September 18. The cafeteria of the Maison Internationale will remain open.

The university restaurant is open from Monday to Friday from 11.45am to 2.15pm and from 6.15pm to 9.30pm. The restaurant is closed weekends and holidays.

Three set menus are available daily:
  • Formule Bleue: starter, dessert and a choice of main meal including three daily specials, pasta with topping, and chicken with fries and salad.
Student price: €2.90/ Full price: €4.90
 
  • Formule Rouge: starter or dessert with a choice of main meal including grilled meat or fish (e.g. steak or salmon), grill (e.g. kebab or lamb chop), pizza, pasta with meat or vegetables, and traditional dishes from France and around the world.
Student price: €4.10/Full price: €6
 
  • Formule Kebab: meat from the carvery with onions, tomatoes, fries and sauces.
Student price: €4.10/Full price: €6

 
From the start of the 2009 academic year, the restaurant will offer a choice of four side dishes with each sitting, including rice, a similar accompaniment and two green vegetable dishes.
 
Two other set menus will also be served:
 
  • Mondays and Tuesdays, Formule Cuisine au Wok: a complete dish made with vegetables and chicken, fish or lamb for a set price of €6.40
  • Tuesdays and Fridays, Formule Poisson du Marché: sole, monkfish or cod, with a choice of garnish for a set price of €7.40
  • Fridays, organic meal for a set price of €7.40.

The university restaurant also organises meals on specific themes for the same price as the Formule Bleue (student price: €2.90/full price: €4.90)
