A DIVERSE ORGANISATION

Home to 10,000 students, researchers and artists every year, over 140 nationalities, 40 houses and a host of services, the Cité Internationale offers a unique setting backed by a remarkable organisation.

The Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris is unique among French universities and institutions. It is run by a private body, the Fondation Nationale, and is listed as a public-interest organisation. It manages on-site services and 18 residences. The other 22 houses each represent a country or Grande Ecole and have their own legal status.

If you are a student or researcher or are involved in the arts, simply fill out an admissions form to submit your application. Please see the admissions criteria in the relevant section for details.

A HUB FOR ARTS AND CULTURE

Every year, the Cité Internationale hosts 1,000 events in arts and culture, organised by houses, residents and specialist services.

Culture is a cornerstone of life at the Cité Internationale. In addition to its theatre, the campus is also home to an orchestra, choir and heritage centre. It offers a range of services for those researching information either as a hobby or for the purposes of work or studies.

ONLINE SERVICES FOR THE CENTRAL LIBRARY

SEMINARS AND CONFERENCES

Covering everything from seminars and forums to award ceremonies, board meetings and receptions, the Seminars and Conferences service is on hand to provide help and advice to organise your events in beautiful surroundings.

The Cité Internationale offers an outstanding setting, providing event organisers with a complete raft of services including venue rental, catering, technical installations and staffing.

INTERNATIONAL GUESTS

The Cité Internationale was set up to promote interaction between talented young individuals from around the globe, and has always sought to encourage mobility within the academic world. For nearly a decade, it has been developing tailored services for researchers, students and artists, irrespective of whether they are staying in one of its houses or not.

RESEARCHERS

Four service centres in the Île-de-France region
Coordinated by the Bureau Régional d’Accueil des Chercheurs Étrangers (BRACE), these four centres assist foreign researchers prior to and during their stay.
 
The Guest researchers’ office (BACE) provides its services to post-doctoral researchers housed at the Cité Internationale or hosted by a laboratory in Paris (75), Les Hauts-de-Seine (92) or in La Vallée Scientifique de la Bièvre (94). NB: Doctoral students in these departments must contact the Reception office for international students (BAEM)

N.B.: To help researchers settle in Île-de-France, the Cité Internationale has created a club specifically for them based in the Collège Franco Britannique. Activities include: discussions, French classes, meetings, cultural outings, social evenings, etc.
 
Did you know?
The number of foreign visiting researchers receiving assistance from Cité Internationale rose from 270 in 2002 to 3300 in 2008. Today, the visitor services provided by Cité Internationale are renowned worldwide, and this expertise is now exported. In 2008, Cité Internationale shared its expertise with teams in Romania and Bulgaria under the Euraxess programme financed by the European Commission.
