Cité internationale universitaire de Paris

Faithful to its spirit of dialogue, the International University Campus in Paris works with several development partners. These include: the Ministries of Higher Education and Research, of Culture and Communication, the Regional Council of the Île-de-France, City of Paris, the Paris universities and the higher education establishments.

The International University Campus in Paris is administered by a body governed by private law, the National Foundation, International University Campus in Paris, recognised as being in the public interest by decree of 6th June 1925.

The National Foundation, International University Campus in Paris is governed by a Management Board. The Executive Officer, appointed by this body, is answerable to the President for the management of this body.

75% self-financing, in the final analysis this foundation receives donations from public and private patrons.

The Universities of Paris, which own the buildings, have entrusted the foundation with developing and administering the work of the International Campus. The foundation ensures that the founding ideals and principles are respected and coordinates the tasks which are common to all of the residences

An institution of international standing: the nations represented throughout the various residences participate in the governance of the International Campus.

Through its partnership policy the International Campus supports the international cooperation within the higher education and research establishments in the Ile-de-France region. Agreements have been made with the universities and the research establishments, the national and international organisations and the grandes écoles, as well as with some regional authorities to ensure that the Foundation continues to accept and lodge the students and researchers of these institutions.

A concrete example: The ParisTech group, a grouping of twelve of the most prestigious grandes écoles in France, lodges its students in four of the International Campus residences: the Maison des Élèves Ingénieurs des Arts et Métiers, the Maison Internationale AgroParisTech, the Maison des Industries Agricoles et Alimentaires and the Maison des Étudiants de l’ Asie du Sud-est.

Thanks to the partnership agreement signed with Paris Sciences et Lettres (PSL),the International Campus promotes and supports “equality of opportunity” in the democratising of training courses of excellence by accepting students in receipt of scholarships from the CPES ( Classe préparatoire aux Etudes Supérieures or Preparatory Class for Higher Studies) in one of its residences.

Finally, for some years now the International Campus has enjoyed privileged relations with a variety of establishments, schools and universities in France and abroad. Thus, each summer hundreds of students benefit from a short summer break at the International Campus. This represents some 2,000 students who stay here for periods of between 3 days to 3 months.
